The worlds view of Freedom
Freedom of speech – pornography, homosexuality is just an alternative lifestyle, TV
Freedom over our own bodies – abortion
Freedom in schools – killing God in schools, atheism, evolution, valueless teaching,
Freedom comes from the Government
Freedom from religious expression, not Christian expression
1 - The History of Liberty is a History of limitations of Governmental power, not the increase of it. When we resist, therefore, the concentration of Power, We are resisting the powers of Death, because the concentration of power is what always precedes the destruction of Human Liberties. – President Woodrow Wilson
Simply put, early Christianity was God at work in the Whole culture- Not merely in the Heart of Man.
2 – We have a country that is founded on Freedom, our soldiers have fought and died for Freedom but the freedom that we live in today is the freedom that is listed in the Constitution. Our founding fathers did not want freedom from God, freedom from life, freedom in Government. They fought for Freedom that gave us liberty not license!
In Christ we are free and have freedom but as Paul said in Romans
Romans 6:15
Shall we sin because we are not under law but under Grace? By no means!
You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness v. 18
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. v. 22
What is required for true freedom is to have the mind of Christ.
We must think and live the life of Christ.
We must have a transformation of our mind to that of Christ to have true freedom.
Not just think similar to that of Christ but a total transformation of the
You can not have true freedom with out the transformation of our mind.
