I have a Problem with the Episcopal Church
I have trouble with the editorial in our local paper back a couple of months ago. I am a Christian with a relationship with the Creator of the Universe. I do believe that the God of the Bible does call on Christians to love all men and women equally, whether they are of any race, nationality or other dividing point. God even calls on Christian's to love the homosexual just as He calls us to love the heterosexual. We are to called to love all people because we are all sinners, and Christ sacrificed for ALL.
But I break with him because he goes on to condone sin and place unrepentant sinners over God's people. How can the church of Jesus Christ condone sin in the leaders of His Church? The Bible calls homosexuality a sin. Yes, the blood of Jesus forgives all sin. But First Timothy chapter five verses 20-22 says to reprimand those leaders who sin. Do it in front of everyone so that the other leaders will also be afraid, and don't be in a hurry to place your hands on anyone to ordain him. Don't participate in the sins of others. Keep yourself morally pure.
How can a denomination in the Church of Jesus Christ condone ordaining unrepentant sinners. How can Christian's who know God in a personal relationship ever condone that which is opposite all Truth and Goodness which God is?
